Q:  How To Program Time and Date?
A:  Press[*6] then the master code.  Enter [1], then enter the time and date as follows (HH:MM:MN:DD:YY) press [#] twice to exit.  Note: when entering the hour, enter in a 24h format ie., 7:00pm = 19:00 hours.

Q:  How to Disarm Your Alarm System?
A:  To disarm your alarm system simply enter your four digit master code.

Q:  How To Arm Your Alarm System?
A:  To arm your system, first ensure all zones are closed.  When the green checkmark appears on the keypad simply enter your four digit master code.

Q:  How To Program A User Code?
A:  Press[*5] then the master code.  The alarm panel will beep, then enter two digit user number(ie., 01 for user 1, 02 for user 2, 03 for user 3, etc).  Then enter the four digit user code. Press[#] to exit

Q:  How To Change Alarm System Master Code?
A: To change the master code press[*5] then the master code, enter 40, then enter the new four digit master code. press [#] to exit.

Q:  What if I have pets?
A:  Our pet immune motion detectors will allow pet movement and still provide protection on your home.  Certain motion sensors are designed with pet imunity.  Pets under 40lbs will not be detected.

Q:  What if I accidentally trip my alarm?
A: Do not panic! Simply enter your four digit user code to disarm your alarm system.  Once you have disarmed your system contact the monitoring station after 5 minutes if they havent contacted you.  The contact number is located on the key-holder cards that were provided to you upon your installation.  They will also need your accout number and codeword for verification.  This information is also located on the key-holder card.

Q:  How long will it take to install my security system?
A: Every installation is different.  A typical installation can take half a day to install.

Q:  What happens when the alarm goes off?
A: When the alarm is tripped, the siren will sound and a signal is sent to the monitoring station informing them that there has been an intrusion.  Once they have recieved the signal they will notify you and any other authorities.

Q:  What happens in the event of a power failure?
A: The alarm panel has a backup battery.  The system will automatically switch to the backup battery when power is absent, then switch back once power is restored.  Typical battery run time is about 24 Hours.

Q:  Can the system be set when we are in for the evening?
A: Yes, arming the system is stay mode will protect all windows and doors and bypass the motion detectors so you can walk freely in your home and still have the protection you desire.

Q:  What does the little yellow triangle mean on the keypad?
A: When there is a yellow triangle that appears, this means there is a trouble with the system.  Please refer to the user manual for the trouble light conditions.  All trouble conditions should be atteneded to immediately.  If our office has not called you regaring a yellow trouble light within 1 hour of it coming on, please contact our office and ask for service.


Q:  How long will the system record for?
A:  All systems can be configured to record 90days or more.  This also depends on the size of the hard-drive that was installed in your system and DVR configuration.  Average recording time is 30-60 days on 24/7 continous record & 3-9 months on motion detection.

Q:  How do i know if the system is recording?
A:  To ensure your system is recording, make sure the record icon is displayed on the screen. Refer to your user manual on the location of the icon.

Q:  Can i view the cameras from my work or phone?
A:  Yes.  All our DVR systems are networkable.  They can be configured to view your property from anywhere in the world or from your mobile devices.

Q:  Are the cameras weather proof?
A:  All our outdoor cameras are designed to withstand the Canadian climates.

Q:  How long will it take to install?
A:  All installations are different, a typical installations can be done in a day where others may take more time.

Q:  Can the cameras see at night?
A:   Yes, our night-vision cameras are designed to see objects in the lowest light conditions.
